The 2025 fishing season in Iceland is already shaping up to be an incredible one — and many of our most popular lodges and trips are booking faster than ever.

Highland Fishing Lodge

Long Valley Lodge

We have periodic availability throughout the season for both trout and salmon packages, as well as float trips. Some key highlights:

  • Big early season salmon fishing: June 10–30 (prime time for heavy fish)
  • Grand Slam Week: August 8–14 (catch salmon, trout, and Arctic char)
  • Prime trout fishing: Early July (first two weeks) — perfect for dry fly and streamer action.

Self-Catering Cabin Options

For those looking for more independent fishing adventures, we offer excellent self-catering opportunities:

Svartá River

  • 4 rods + cabin sold together in 2-day slots.
  • Limited availability: 4 slots left in July, 3 in August, 2 in September.

Big Laxá – Árbót

  • Trout and salmon fishing with a beautiful riverside cabin.
  • 3 to 4 rods per slot.
  • 2 slots available in June, 2 in July, and good availability during prime salmon season (August–September).
