Highland Fishing Lodge – 2025 in photos

The Icelandic Highlands are one of the last true wildernesses in Europe: A vast, volcanic landscape of clear rivers, black sand, and endless horizons. Every summer, anglers from around the world make the journey into this remote terrain to chase wild brown trout and Arctic char, explore new waters, and experience the quiet solitude you can only find in the Highlands.

Our 2025 season brought unforgettable moments: sight-fishing to cruising char under glass-clear water, browns smashing streamers in pocket water, and long days on hidden tributaries where it often felt like we were the only people on Earth.

This photo series highlights some of our favourite scenes and memories, both on the water and in the wild landscapes that make the Highlands so special.
