Bjarnarfjarðará flows through Bjarnarfjörður on the Strandir coast of Iceland’s Westfjords, approximately 35 km from Hólmavík. This scenic river offers around 7 km of varied fishing, with 25 marked pools and good access to most fishing spots.
Sea-run Arctic char are the main attraction, with occasional Atlantic salmon also caught. Four rods fish Bjarnarfjarðará; the upper river, Goðdalsá, is sold separately.
