Vaðall By Breiðuvík

The Vaðall is a small lake by Breiðavík in the Westfjords of Iceland. The lake is a semi-lagoon that is sometimes connected to the ocean. The lake host a huge amount of Brown Trout, primarily smaller browns in the half to 1-pound size range with the occasional bigger fish in between. A perfect fishery for children and beginners as most people should hook up with a fish or two. Although located in the remote Westfjords the lake is close to Hótel Breiðavík where accommodations, a restaurant and bar are found

Directions

Distance from Reykjavík is 415km and 50km from Patriksfirði. To get to the lake from Reykjavik you drive route one north until you reach Vestfjarðarvegur road(Road 60), From there you drive 218km to Flókalundur where you turn onto road 62 and follow it to Breiðavík
